Friday night meals and Darts return on January 20th |
|
The Board wants to say THANK YOU to all the volunteers that work on the course and has kept it very playable. If you play during the winter, please remember to stay off the greens till the frost is gone. We are looking into fixing the water run off that crosses fairways on holes 13, 18, 17 & 15. We are thinking about a relief for the overflow from the pond on 1 & 9 ,redirecting it to run behind 9s tee box and running down the back of 8 green & 5 green, then crossing across the cart path in front of the seniors tee box on hole 6, or cutting a ditch across the fairways on holes 13, 18, 17 & 15. |

The return of the Friday Night Dinners starts January 20th @ 6pm with the 1st FISH FRY of the year. Every week we'll have a different meal @ 6pm, on the 3rd Friday of every month will be a FISH FRY. If you would like to sponsor the main entree of your choice one night, please contact Walter Scott or Lenard Nelsen with your menu idea and they will set a date and make arrangements for the side dishes. The meal cost will very from week to week depending on the main item served. The meal is served @ 6pm. The meal for the next Friday will be posted in the clubhouse. Also on Jan. 20th is the return of Family Game Night, we'll be starting with our weekly Friday night golf dart tourneys. The entry fee for golf darts is $5 and starts after dinner. The final night will be the week before the Fri night scramble. The entry fee is free on the final night for players who have participated at least 5 times, with a top 3 positions pay out. Ping pong and other table games will be available. Plan on a night of good food and fun with friends and family. |

December Board Meeting Notes New Business: Look at setting a new rate on the corporate memberships for larger businesses. David Hedges wants to cook/cater for the 4 ball and any other tournament that needs catering. menu pork loins and leg & thigh quarters. 50% or more saving on what the cost is now. Need a new board member - Orland Dial resigned from board and club. Researching grants for pool/golf course. Fall 4 ball? 2 day event - free Friday round - $200 per team. Grounds: Repair leak from the pond under cart path on hole 9. Most of the equipment was winterized. Parts came in for grasshopper and almost finished with the repairs. A big thanks to the volunteers for keeping the course playable. Clubhouse: Kitchen floor needs repair. Only thing that gets written up during the health inspection. An epoxy floor covering discussed. Terry will donate a gallon of epoxy. Entertainment: Family Night - The 1st fish dinner & darts start on the 20th of January. Friday night menu/schedule discussed. Tournaments: Need 4-ball chairman. Charity tournament was discussed - dual charities - Rice Depot & Malvern Senior Center. Fliers for our tournaments to be placed in local businesses and liquor stores (on county line). Pool: Do more research on finding leak - concrete cost about $100 per yard. Will check into saltwater filter system, is it ok being public pool and cost to convert. |
